Many Local Organizations Working Together to Create a More Sustainable Future

As Independently-owned Hudson businesses, we believe we can make a positive impact on our community’s sustainability by coming together to create and implement initiatives that promote environmental stewardship.

Together, and in partnership with Sustain Hudson, we believe we are capable of changing the world by reaching one person, one business, one visitor at a time.

Sustain Hudson around town

Pollinator Friendly Gardens

Planted throughout the city, these gardens help to sustain our ecosystem. Birds, bats, bees, butterflies, beetles, and other small creatures that pollinate plants are responsible for helping us protect our food supplies.

Skip-A-Bag Program

When you choose to reduce waste by skipping a shopping bag or paper product at participating retailers and restaurants, 10¢ will go to two local non-profits. For 2019, The Raider Network (a free store at the high school for students in need) and Sustain Hudson (supporting the continuing sustainability initiatives throughout Hudson) will be the recipients.

Share Gardens

Local retailers and restaurants planted vegetable and herb gardens simply to share the bounty. Not only does this enhance the sense of community through sharing it also helps our pollinators.

Bicycle Racks

Placed throughout the city to encourage green transportation (and ease parking), Sustain Hudson purchased and installed bike racks.
